Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of business development experience, preferably in a media agency setting
  • Exhibits outstanding organizational skills
  • Has exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), is a fearless and active participant in group settings, and can interface with all levels of management and personnel both internally and externally in a professional manner
  • Possesses strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; equally versatile in professional and creative writing and can adapt tone, style, grammar, vocabulary, etc., based on audience
  • Has a strong understanding of the new business/marketing/communications/media sphere with extensive understanding of all aspects of the media process
  • Possesses well-honed project management skills and can ensure accurate delivery of projects on schedule
  • Recognizes the importance of being flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
  • Displays strong leadership skills that will motivate staff and create a positive and productive work environment
  • Incredible attention to detail and data verification – accuracy is critical
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong time management (schedules, timelines, task prioritization)
  • Handles pressure exceedingly well
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • Comfortable working with senior executives

Responsibilities

As the Manager of Business Development, you’ll be a part of an evolving Growth team at Omnicom Media Group. Your role will help drive the collaboration and growth of our agencies within the Omnicom Media Group global network, working on a variety of new business initiatives. You’ll be a ‘connector’, have exceptional organizational and communication skills, and always conduct yourself professionally. This is a fast-paced and high-profile role so you must be a self-starter who is able to move quickly but precisely – efficiency and collaboration are key.

  • Support the end-to-end development and delivery of new business pitches
  • Create and update pitch brief/background document
  • Support RFI submissions, including interpreting the questions asked, organizing a team to answer questions, following up on responses, and tailoring as needed
  • Work closely with our internal creative services team to produce pitch materials & collateral
  • Maintain case study database including collecting and writing case studies
  • Build and update top-line competitive reports on competitive agencies
  • Develop a deep knowledge of Omnicom Media Group agencies and capabilities, contacts, past pitches, and case studies
