  • 7-10+ years media research and/or planning experience at an agency or content company
  • Experience/interest with entertainment sector a plus
  • Advanced MS- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Excellent analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of media research sources and terminology across multiple media sources
  • Experience using data and deliverable software, across media channels for research purposes, including, Nielsen, Arbitron, Simmons, MRI, and comScore
  • Undergraduate degree required, post graduate a plus

  • Passion for media research, that translates for our clients
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing both up and down the organizational structure
  • Strong presentation skills: able to read the room and adapt accordingly
  • Ability to prioritize and work multiple project deadlines


The Vice President, Research is an integral part of our planning process at OMG23 across all lines of business (studios, channels, and streaming).


This role supports the planning and execution teams, includes direct contact with the client, and serves as a key adviser. They will be our clients’ strategic consultant aiding to develop and analyze targets, marketing goals, and competitive challenges. This position will also be a critical liaison between OMG23 and the broader research and MarSci teams at OMG putting a client lens on all holding company research that is issued.


This position will also manage and develop an Associate Director and Assistant Research Analyst.


Responsibilities include:


Thought Leadership

  • Set an annual learning agenda ensuring the agency and our clients are consistently ahead of trends in the media and entertainment landscape
  • Prepare and present custom client presentations focusing on the current media landscape, emerging trends, and product usage metrics, using proprietary data and syndicated research tools
  • Partner with client teams to ideate custom research work
  • Develop and write topical POVs to address the agency’s position on media and client related issues


Shared Knowledge and Best Practices

  • Manage research subscriptions and resources ensuring that planning teams are trained on proper use of media research tools
  • Chief liaison with OMG research team on all proprietary and syndicated research reports and systems
  • Adapt and present OMG reports for the OMG23 team and Disney client
